My name is Srestha, or you can call me ‘Sre’ (pronounced like Shre) and I am a class leader at Baby Sensory Canberra.
I will be leading your classes every Thursday and Friday this term. You will also see me assisting and leading a class or two on a Wednesday afternoon!
I High School Teacher back in my home country of India. I am also a passionate Actor and Acting Coach and also work for ‘Perform Australia’ where I lead drama and acting classes for people of all ages!
In my spare time I am often preparing for auditions, and I enjoy staying active. My husband and I love exploring all that Canberra has to offer!

Hello!
I’m Mia and I’m the person behind Baby Sensory Canberra. I will be leading the classes every Tuesday and Wednesday! I attend to all the admin going on behind the scenes at Baby Sensory Canberra. I am also a mum to two daughters.
For the last 8 years I have been a Primary School Teacher. I’ve taught Kindergarten, Yr 5 and Yr 6, so from one extreme to the other! I absolutely loved my role educating children and now look forward to educating parents and their babies. That first year of life is so important and I feel privileged I get to experience this with you all.
I moved to Canberra 5 years ago and in 2021 we started our little family.
Our daughter, Matilda, is the inspiration behind bringing these wonderful classes to Canberra. I was already familiar with Baby Sensory from living in Sydney and attended a class with my niece in 2019. So when I had my daughter, attending Baby Sensory with her was something I was so looking forward to!
I wanted to take her to fun classes whilst I was on maternity leave. I was also looking for a place to maybe meet a new friend or two. But most of all, I wanted a place where I could continue to learn about my baby and feel supported in that first year of motherhood.
I couldn’t find this and after some research learnt that Baby Sensory had not yet made its way to Canberra!
Fast forward and here we are… Baby Sensory Canberra!
I’m so passionate about bringing these classes to Canberra (and surrounding NSW suburbs) so every parent can feel empowered and supported about their baby’s development in the first year of life. I want to give parents the opportunity to make special memories together with their baby and also learn something new, have fun and make some friends.
