Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
* Please note, classes run for 1 hour and your booking must be used consecutively.

* Confirmation: 
Once you have completed the registration process you will receive a confirmation email. This indicates you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

* Data Protection: 
The information you provide during registration contains personal data. Baby Sensory will record, process and keep your personal information secure in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Information will not be passed/sent out to a third party.

* All places are non-refundable/ non-transferrable: Baby Sensory is under no obligation to refund or transfer your money in the event that you are unable to attend part of or the entire course. You are welcome to attend an alternative session if you are unable to make your own session but this is dependent upon availability in the class and must be discussed first. You are welcome to offer your place to a friend as a gift. If you wish to offer your place to another, please notify us as soon as possible. Thank you for your co-operation.

* Wait-list: 
If our class/classes are full then you are welcome to join our waiting list. Our waiting list gives us a chance to contact parents if a place becomes available and is based on a first in first served basis.

* Health and Safety: Every effort is made by Baby Sensory to provide a hazard free zone, however parents are always responsible for the safety and well-being of babies and children at all times. We politely request adults to remove their shoes during class to prevent equipment getting dirty. Please make your class leader aware if you or your child has any allergies or special requirements/medical conditions. This information will be kept confidential except in the case of medical emergencies it may be shared with health care professionals Drinks (other than baby milk) and food are not allowed in the sensory or exploratory area.

* Illness: Babies should be kept home if they are ill or have a serious infection. In the instance of sickness and diarrhea your child must have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours before attending class. If a serious infection has occurred please inform me so I can put strategies in place and prevent and spreading of infection and follow the incubation period recommend by health care professionals. Return to class once doctor has given clearance.

* Make Up Classes: If you can’t make your usual class, contact Alana or Sophie to change to an alternative class that week, subject to availability and limit 2 classes per term. You are able to miss 1 class and make it up in the following term. You are also welcome to offer your place to a friend as a gift the week you are unable to attend. If you wish to offer your place to another please notify us as soon as possible.


PLEASE NOTE no make up classes available in the following term on discounted fees or special offers, if you can't make your usual class you can change to an alternatively class that week or attend an extra class another week, subject to availability and limit 2 per term. You are also more then welcome to gift it to a friend the week you are unable to attend. Thank you for your cooperation.

* Cancellation of classes: Baby Sensory will endeavor to run classes every week during the term. However should we need to cancel a class, parents will be contacted by email/text. Baby Sensory reserves the right to cancel classes without refund in exceptional circumstances beyond our control (e.g. fire, flood, etc.) 

* Holidays: All holidays during the current term will be notified to you in advance. Should a need to cancel a class occur, then an additional class will be added onto the end of the current term.

* Fees: All online payments are due within 7 days of booking. If payment has not been received within this time or you have not contact me to organise other payment methods, your booking will be cancelled automatically.

No place is fully guaranteed unless a deposit or full payment of the term fees has been made.

* Confidentiality: Confidentiality is paramount and will be maintained at all costs by Baby Sensory unless the law should request otherwise (i.e Child protection). Baby Sensory prides itself on creating original and unique ideas to ensure and deliver a top quality service. Certain content and information provided throughout our classes are copy written and under ownership of Baby Sensory. Baby Sensory grants you a limited, personal license to use ideas for home use only. Baby Sensory kindly asks customers not to copy, reproduce, create derivative works of, reverse, engineer, alter, enhance or in any way exploit any of the Baby Sensory materials in any manner such as use of ideas in a public place, promotional event without permission from the copyright holders.

* Photography: Personal photography is allowed at all classes with the consent of all parents concerned. No photographs taken at classes can be used for anything other than personal use without written consent from Baby Sensory and the parents involved. We ask that sensitivity to this matter is maintained at all times. Small mobile phone videos are allowed again with consent, full length videos are not permitted under any circumstance. Baby Sensory expressly forbids the right to reproduce any part of our lessons in any form (e.g. on the internet, DVDs, photographs etc.). Anyone suspected of continually filming or photographing the lessons for any purpose of publication will be asked to stop filming and leave the course. 

Valuables: Baby Sensory Southern Launceston cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any of your personal possessions.

* Updates: From time to time we may update these terms by sending you either an up dated version or notification of minor changes. You are free to not accept these changes buy we would ask you to notify us in writing of your non acceptance within 14 days of your receipt, failing which we will be entitled to treat our agreement with you as being subject to the updated version.

Baby Sensory's Terms and Conditions aim to present a fair sustainable structure to all. We aim to provide the highest quality classes for all our customers, as is our need to secure the regular employment to secure the best Class Leaders and venues available.

We are committed to the safety of all persons who attend our lessons and to deliver the highest standard of service.

Participating in a Baby Sensory class is entirely at your own risk without any proven negligence, breach of duty of care or lack of due diligence by Baby Sensory, your local Franchise or its employees.

Payment Methods

Your class leader may require payment at the time of booking via online card payment.

Alternatively, you will receive a booking confirmation email after you register online which will inform you of the available payment methods.  Payment is due at the time of booking (unless otherwise arranged).  If payment has not been received within 5 days your place will be cancelled to allow other babies to enrol.

Confirmation of place

If payment is made through any other way than card payment using the online booking system, your place will only be confirmed on full payment. An acknowledgment will be sent with payment details however booking confirmation will only be sent when payment is received. If you pay using the online booking system, you will receive an automated reply confirming your place.

Holidays and sickness policy

Regrettably we cannot offer discounts or refunds to cover your booked holidays due to the need to ensure continuity of service.

You may offer your place to a friend who also has a baby to a session you know you are unable to attend. You would need to inform your Class Leader in this instance.

Twins/Multiples discount

Baby Sensory offers local discounts for twins/multiples if brought by one adult sitting within the teaching circle.

A parent with twins/multiples will need to have either another adult or an arrangement with another parent, should they need to take one of the twins/multiples to the bathroom. The Class Leader can never be responsible for your child.

Supervision and withdrawal of service

All children must be supervised at all times and not left unattended. The Class Leader cannot be responsible for a child at any time. Regrettably as our classes are designed for babies from the age of birth to 13 months only, older siblings cannot attend unless specifically invited.

Should a carer or associated visitor behave in a way that the Class Leader feels is unreasonable then the company reserves the rights to withdraw the provision of classes to the client.

Renewals

No later than two weeks before your term runs out your class leader will ask you whether you wish to renew for another term. The Class Leader will inform you of the mechanism to rebook your space and payment terms. Note however that places remain on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation of Classes policy

Baby Sensory will endeavour to run classes during bad weather e.g. snowy conditions, excessive heat, thunderstorms. However, should we need to cancel due to safety concerns, parents will be notified/contacted (please check your local Baby Sensory Facebook page and make sure your phone number is kept up to date on our register).

An additional class will be offered if we have to cancel a class or refund against a future term's fees. Regrettably we cannot automatically offer cash refunds.

Illness

Parents are asked to keep their babies at home if they have a serious infection and to inform the setting as to the nature of the infection so that other parents can be alerted.

Please keep your baby at home if he/she:

• Has a fever or has had one in the previous 24 hours
• Has had an upset stomach or diarrhoea in the previous 48 hours
• Has heavy nasal discharge
• Has discharging eyes

Has symptoms of a possible communicable diseases such as:

• Measles
• Chicken pox
• German measles
• Whooping cough
• Impetigo
• Scarlett fever
• Hand, foot and mouth disease
• Norovirus

We cannot offer a refund for a lesson missed due to illness. You may offer your place to a friend, who also has a baby, to the session. You would need to inform your Class Leader in this instance.

Baby Sensory has a commitment to ensure that the equipment and activities are value and worth to everyone regardless of race, culture, language, gender, age, experience, religion, background, ability or disability.

Videos, photographs and confidentiality

We love you taking pictures or videos of your children during the course provided it doesn't interfere with the class. In addition, please always be sensitive of taking pictures of others without their permission. If you are asked to stop, please do respect the rights of others.

In addition, if the Class Leader feels that the amount of video is excessive, not just short clips, then you may be asked to stop.

Please remember that much of the content of the class is under copyright and while we are very happy for you to practice at home, these are not to be incorporated into another public activity without our permission.

Protection of property

Please note that your property left in prams or bags is your responsibility and Baby Sensory cannot take any responsibility for the safeguarding of these items.

Health & Safety and Hygiene Policies

Baby Sensory follows rigorous internal checks of the venue and its own equipment to ensure that they are clean and safe. Daily Risk Assessments are conducted.
Baby Sensory asks all parents and carers to remove their shoes while in class in order to reduce the chance of transmission of microorganisms. Shoes need to be worn to visit the bathroom within class times and care exercised to avoid slips.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Baby Sensory from time to time updates these T&Cs. It will inform you of changes through regular channels of communication and you have 14 days to opt out of accepting changes in writing. Failure to do so will entitle Baby Sensory to treat this agreement with you as being updated with the changes.
