Becc Wolfenden
Hello! I'm Becc... mum, wife, business owner, fur-mummy, baby-lover and truly (truly!!) terrible cook.
I have over 20 years of experience working in large and global organisations on talent, culture and leadership development, and given my career choice and formal qualifications, it isn't surprising that I have a real passion for learning and brain development - and a particular interest in the experiences that shape our physical, social, emotional and intellectual development and behaviour as we develop into adults.
I am the mum of a very active 3 (going on 15) year old, 2 big furry dogs, 2 cats, and am married to my partner of 15 years, Ric. I’m a voracious reader, a passionate traveller, and an amateur interior design addict (VERY amateur) and even more amateur photographer. I adore children and babies (who doesn’t?!), and since becoming a mum in 2018, my passion for adult learning and leadership development turned to a serious interest in the ever expanding area of infant brain development and learning.
One of the first things I did once our daughter was born, was book into the closest Baby Sensory class I could find, which was 45 minutes away - anyone with a newborn knows the commitment needed to make that round trip once a week!
But the classes are so magical and unlike any other program I could find and have tried since, so there was no way I was missing a class, and we attended for a FULL 14 months - we are proud Baby Sensory Graduates!
Through extensive training to become an accredited Baby Sensory class leader, I have learned that every Baby Sensory activity has been created to promote connections within the brain that help support future development and learning.
That 1 hour of Baby Sensory class each week was absolutely the highlight of the week for both my daughter and I, and I will always cherish those opportunities to watch her grow and develop and the friendships I formed with other families I met along the way, plus it was F.U.N - and that's why I made the leap to leave my corporate career to bring Baby Sensory back to the Greater Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast region, and that's what I aim to provide the families who attend my classes; the opportunity to spend quality time together, to learn something new about their baby's development, to have fun and meet other families within a really safe and welcoming environment.
