It is now widely recognised that babies learn more during the first year than at any other time in their life. In fact, their brain doubles in volume due to connections formed as a direct result of their activities and experiences.

Baby Sensory is a unique programme specifically designed for babies from birth to 13 months old to promote learning and development during this precious first year. Classes are packed with an incredible variety of sounds, smells, sights, textures, music, dance, signing, therapeutic games, bonding and massage, all designed to aid all round brain development, as well as social and emotional skills.

Our research-based programme is guaranteed to excite you and your little one and you can attend our classes for a full year and never experience the same class twice. Every single activity has been designed to stimulate development and we will share this developmental information with you so each week you can take away lots of ideas for supporting and encouraging your baby's development at home. The warm, relaxed environment also makes our classes a fabulous place to meet other new parents and share magical moments with your baby.

Our award-winning Baby Sensory classes are held weekly in Alexandra Hills and Manly West.

Booking FAQs:

How long are classes?

Classes run for 45 minutes and are run weekly at your scheduled booking time.

How long does a term run for?

Most terms will run for 10-weeks, however, if any major public holidays fall on your schedule class day, occasionally some terms may run for 9-weeks.

What are my booking/class options?

We offer the below booking options for classes:

- A full term booking (10 or 9 weeks)

- A half-term booking (5 consecutive weeks)

- A trial pack of 3x consecutive classes ($60). Please note, trial classes will typically only be offered after a term has commenced, or are available on select classes, as full-term bookings are offered as priority in the first instance.

Do you offer single-class trials or casual bookings?

Unfortunately not for new families. Through much experience, we've found that sometimes there may be a 'settling-in' period for babies who are new to the programme, and it takes around three weeks for them to ease into a new class routine. It is for this reason we offer a 3x class trial pack, so caregivers can see the benefit of the programme (as one class isn't always enough to experience the magic!).

Note - if you are an existing or returning family, however, please contact us directly at bayside-qld@babysensory.com regarding casual classes.

Where are your classes located within the Bayside Region?

Manly West (Tuesday) - Bayside Uniting Church Hall, 420 Wondall Rd, Manly West

Alexandra Hills (Thursday & Friday) - Redlands Church of Christ Hall, 51 Allenby Rd, Alexandra Hills (access via McMillan Street)

Can I join after the term has started?

Absolutely! As every week is a different class theme so it doesn’t matter when you start during the term. If you join part way through a term, you will only pay for the remaining lessons in that term.

Do you offer a discount for families with multiple children (twins, triplets etc.) attending together?

Yes! We offer a reduced rate of 50% off the second child or, for families with three children, ‘buy 2, get one free'. Please note this discount applies only to siblings from the same immediate family attending our classes together (not cousins, friend referrals etc.).

Is my baby to young/old for classes?

As the programme was created for babies 0-13 months, as long as they sit within this age bracket, your little one is never going to be too young or old to start the programme. Baby Sensory is wonderful opportunity to introduce them to a rich variety of sensory experiences regardless of what stage of development they’re at!

What if I'm unable to attend a session?

We understand that ‘life’ happens, especially with little ones, and therefore offer several options to make up a missed session. These ‘make-up’ classes must be completed within the same term, as we are unable to carry ‘make-up’ classes over to the following term or apply credit to a new term booking.

The below options are available for make-up classes:

- You can arrange to attend the same class during the week on another day.

- You can arrange to make-up your missed class any point throughout the term (doesn't have to be the same week).

- You can gift your session to someone who also has a bub so they can enjoy the magic of Baby Sensory in your place.

- Or, space permitting, you can invite a friend and their baby to join you in one of your sessions during the term.

We will always try to accommodate your requested time/day, pending availability for that session.
