Babies learn more in their first year than at any other time, with their brain doubling in volume through the connections formed by their experiences.
Baby Sensory is a unique programme designed for babies from birth to 13 months, promoting brain development, social and emotional skills. Each class features a variety of sensory activities—sounds, sights, textures, music, and more—carefully crafted to stimulate development.
Our research-based programme guarantees a fresh experience every week, with activities that support your baby's growth. You'll also receive helpful tips for continuing your baby's development at home, while enjoying a warm, welcoming environment to connect with other new parents.
Our award-winning Baby Sensory classes are held weekly in Alexandra Hills and Manly West.

What are my booking/class options?
We offer the below booking options for classes, pending availability:
- A full term booking (10 or 9 weeks).
- Flexible bookings of 3 or more consecutive weeks - on select classes and pending availability.
- A trial pack of 3x consecutive classes ($66). Please note, trial classes will typically only be offered after a term has commenced, or are available on select classes, as full-term bookings are offered as priority in the first instance.
Do you offer trial bookings?
Yes! We offer a 3-class trial pack for $66 ($22 per class). Based on our experience, we’ve found that it usually takes babies about 3 weeks to settle into the new class routine. As our classes are sensory-rich and stimulating, it’s completely normal for babies to need a little time to adjust. For this reason, we believe that just attending one class doesn’t always give caregivers a full sense of the benefits of the programme, which is why we offer a 3-class trial.
Trial bookings are available for select classes throughout the term, and trial spots are typically released closer to the term commencement, as full-term bookings will be given priority.
If you decide to continue after your trial period, simply let us know, and your spot will be reserved for the rest of the term. You will only pay for the remaining sessions at a reduced rate of $21 per class.
If you’d like to arrange a trial booking, please email us at bayside-qld@babysensory.com.
Do you offer single-class trials or casual bookings?
Unfortunately not for new families. Through much experience, we've found that sometimes there may be a 'settling-in' period for babies who are new to the programme, and it takes around three weeks for them to ease into a new class routine. It is for this reason we offer a 3x class trial pack, so caregivers can see the benefit of the programme (as one class isn't always enough to experience the magic!).
Note - if you are an existing or returning family, however, please contact us directly at bayside-qld@babysensory.com regarding casual classes.
How much do classes cost?
Our classes are currently priced at $21per class, making it $210 for a full 10-week term of fun and learning. If you join mid-way through the term, you will only pay for the classes left in the term booking. Please note that trial classes are charged at $22 per class.
How can I pay for classes?
If you place a booking directly through our website, full payment will be requested at the time of booking, either via credit card or bank deposit. We also offer the option of a Payment Plan on full or half-term bookings (5 weeks or more). To enquire further about our Payment Plan options, please email bayside-qld@babysensory.com for more information.
To secure your place, please make payment within 48 hours of booking. For bookings made within 48 hours of your first session, payment must be received before the first class. Failure to pay within the allocated timeframe may result in your booking being cancelled.
How do I book?
To book, simply click on the 'Book Now' button located in the menu bar at the top left of the page (under the heading banner). This will take you to the available session times for booking. Or, if you have any questions, or require assistance with a booking, please feel free to email us at bayside-qld@babysensory.com
What happens if my preferred class time is showing as fully booked?
If your preferred class is fully booked, we recommend checking other available class times, as spots may not open up during the current term. However, if you're set on a particular class, be sure to join the waitlist if it's available. This way, you'll receive notifications if a space becomes available unexpectedly or when new classes or upcoming terms open.
If there’s no waitlist option for your preferred class, it means the waitlist is full. In this case, we recommend selecting another available class time to ensure you don't miss out on the fun!
Can I join after the term has started?
Absolutely! As every week is a different class theme so it doesn’t matter when you start during the term. If you join part way through a term, you will only pay for the remaining lessons in that term.
Do you offer a discount for families with multiple children (twins, triplets etc.) attending together?
Yes! We offer a reduced rate of 50% off the second child or, for families with three children, ‘buy 2, get one free'. Please note this discount applies only to siblings from the same immediate family attending our classes together (not cousins, friend referrals etc.).
Can I bring older siblings along with my baby?
Due to health and safety, older siblings cannot attend classes. Our classes are specifically designed for babies aged from birth to 13 months, and are a special opportunity for you to bond one-on-one with your little one. To ensure a calm and safe environment for all babies, we recommend that only babies within this age range attend.
Older siblings, while well-meaning, can unintentionally pose a safety risk to the babies, especially when moving around the space. This can increase the likelihood of accidents, which we aim to avoid. If you absolutely need to bring an older sibling with you, please notify us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
How many adults can attend per booking?
Your booking includes admission for one adult caregiver to accompany your baby in the sensory area at a time. If space permits, another adult caregiver may join you on the mats, provided there is room for all families attending. We aim to maintain a calm and supportive learning environment for our babies, which is why we limit the number of spaces sold in each class. This ensures that the sensory space doesn't become overcrowded, as extra guests can contribute to increased noise levels, which can overwhelm the little learners.
We’re happy for you to bring along grandparents, partners, or other family members to share the experience, but if the class is fully booked and there is limited space, we may ask additional guests to be seated just outside the sensory area. You’re welcome to switch spots with them throughout the session so everyone can enjoy the class alongside your baby.
If you would like to bring more than two adults, please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements to accommodate your additional guests.
For safety reasons, we kindly request that siblings or other children do not attend the class unless previously arranged with us. If you need to bring another child on a rare occasion, please contact us in advance at bayside-qld@babysensory.com.
Is my baby to young/old for classes?
As the programme was created for babies 0-13 months, as long as they sit within this age bracket from the commencement of your booking period, your little one is never going to be too young or old to start the programme. Baby Sensory is wonderful opportunity to introduce them to a rich variety of sensory experiences regardless of what stage of development they’re at!
What if I'm unable to attend a session?
We understand that ‘life’ happens, especially with little ones, and therefore offer several options to make up a missed session. These ‘make-up’ classes must be completed within the same term, as refunds are not offered, and we are unable to carry ‘make-up’ classes over to the following term or apply credit to a new term booking.
The below options are available for make-up classes:
- You can arrange to attend the same class during the week on another day.
- You can arrange to make-up your missed class any point throughout the term (doesn't have to be the same week).
- You can gift your session to someone who also has a bub so they can enjoy the magic of Baby Sensory in your place.
- Or, space permitting, you can invite a friend and their baby to join you in one of your sessions during the term.
We will always try to accommodate your requested time/day, pending availability for that session.
You can view the full make up policy on the website under our Terms & Conditions. If you are a current client wanting to notify us of your absence from a session, or book a 'make-up' session, please log into the Client Booking Portal.
What do I bring to class?
Please bring clean socks for yourself (as socks are required in the sensory area), a wrap or blanket for your baby to sit or lie on during class, and your usual nappy bag with any essentials you may need.
What can I expect from classes?
Prepare for a fun, magical experience that encourages learning and bonding with your baby! Each 45-minute class features a variety of sensory-rich activities, including music, movement, singing, signing, and exploring props like lights, textures, and bubbles.
We start with our welcoming “Say Hello to the Sun” song, followed by activities like dance, massage, and simple games. After a short rest break for nappy changes or feeds, we finish with our calming “Wave Goodbye” song.
We aim to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all our guests (big and small!) because we want you to enjoy your time in our classes.
Please know that it’s completely normal for babies to go through a ‘settling-in’ period or need a feed, nappy change, or even a little cry or sleep during class. By the third class, most babies start to relax and feel more at ease, but feel free to move around the space and comfort your little one as needed.
Classes run weekly, and we ensure a safe environment by thoroughly cleaning equipment with hospital-grade products between sessions.

What is your Health and Safety Policy?
In consideration of others, please do not attend class if you or your child have any symptoms of illness (including coloured or heavy nasal discharge, a persistent/bad cough, or gastro symptoms) within 48 hours of class. We have several options for making up a missed class. These policies are part of your booking Terms & Conditions and can be accessed here.
