What We Do

We have two programmes, Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense.

The Baby Development programme

Our Baby Sensory programme has been designed specifically for babies from birth. The Baby Development activities stimulate the senses and help your baby develop.  We are confident that these baby activities will also delight and surprise both you and your baby.  We use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early communication skills and you will always remember the moment your baby first uses the signs of our Say Hello song which is played at the beginning of each Baby Sensory class.  More details about the experiences you will share with your baby at our baby classes can be found on the Sample Session page.

Our baby classes are designed for babies from birth to 13 months and we hold separate sessions for birth to 6 months and 7 months to 13 months.



The Toddler Adventure Play programme

Our Toddler Sense programme is an Adventure Play activity that has been designed to build on the skills acquired at Baby Sensory. Toddler Sense is an exciting introduction into learning through play.

Each session includes great music, equipment and new ideas! Imagine climbing a snow mountain, going on safari, digging for fossils, swimming with dolphins and hunting for dinosaurs? Every week introduces a whole new adventure.

The main emphasis is on mobility, excitement and adventure. It is a fast-moving, action-packed programme. Toddler Sense is very different to Baby Sensory, but equally addictive.

Our toddler classes are designed for children from 13 months to three years and we hold separate sessions for 13 - 18 months and 18 months to 3 years.

About the Programmes

Baby Sensory

The various baby activities aim to build up a vocabulary of sensory experiences (e.g. visual, auditory and tactile), to enhance physical contact (massage, reflexology, touching, cuddling and rocking) between you and your baby and to promote the development of speech through the use of sign language, music, song and puppets.

Activities vary weekly.  All activities are excellent for developing physical, social and emotional, and language skills, co-ordination, awareness of the world, a love of music and the concentration so needed for further development.

Recent research illustrates that the most important time for development is the first year of life.

  • Language development – many parents experience intense frustration in understanding their baby’s signals.  Sign Language is one way of taking the guesswork out of parenting.
  • Physical development – although babies should always sleep on their backs, tummy time is an essential aspect of development from birth.  Babies need to be on their tummies in order to go through the fundamental movement patterns that stimulate both sides of the brain.
  • Social development - happy social play sets the tone for the acquisition of future skills such as cooperation, turn taking and sharing.
  • Emotional Development – massage is one sensory delight that really strengthens the bond because it provides an opportunity for parents to express their love.

During social activities, babies show a great interest in each other. They may extend their arms, hold hands, gurgle and coo to each other or kick and wriggle their legs as if conversing with each other. Even though their level of play is solitary, the way in which they interact with each other suggests that they are already social beings.

The sensory organs for smell develop as early as 15 weeks gestation.

The newborn soon discovers which smells delight, settle and soothe him and which ones are unpleasant. In fact, the baby uses his keen sense of smell to learn about every facet of the outside world.

Baby Sensory introduces you and your baby to a world of rich and varied sensory experiences in a creative and enjoyable environment to encourage learning and development.

Toddler Sense

Activities introduce toddlers and children to a magical, multi-sensory interactive experience that will keep them busy and stimulated. Great brain food! They will also have lots of fun on the way!The various Adventure Play activities aim to help children learn through play and, as with Baby Sensory, activities vary weekly.

Sessions are divided into three balanced phases incorporating warm-up activities and skill development activities, where children are encouraged to explore their environment and a challenging conclusion.

Activities are short, dynamic and fun with a clear sense of purpose. Children are guided on adventures to the stars, through the jungle, underwater and to different places around the world.

Carnival-style activities, creative dance, parachute, pom-poms and coloured ribbons give everyone, including parents and carers a great sense of wellbeing and achievement.
