Term 2 starts THIS WEEK and we are excited to be accepting enrolments from new families!
Starting week commencing Monday 15th April, we have a magical 11 week (10-class) TERM 2 planned, full of Autumn Fun & Celebrating Mum for babies & parents to experience.
Term 2 will be packed full of fantastic sights, stimulating sounds, tactile experiences, social and cooperative play, and incredible bonding moments for you to share with your baby. In addition, every week our super knowledgeable and experienced practitioners will share lots of ideas for age-appropriate play you can try with your baby at home.

Here's some of the highlights our enrolled families have to look forward to in our second term of 2024:
- Sea Songs for Babies - Land Lubbers A-Hoy! Babies will relax & socialise in our sensory pools and will sail amongst moving sea creatures in our Sea Songs for Babies class.
- Mother's Day - Babies will be "pampered" with a sensory "foot massage", introduced to a plethora of new and different textured and stimulating tactile experiences... And will create a lovely Mother's Day momento to gift their mum and/or grandmother.
- Singing in the Rain- The weather forecast predicts low-lying cloud, thunder and pouring rain... along with buckets and buckets of FUN singing & signing, rhythm & rhyming and fun activities galore!
- Tour of Australia - From our outback home among the gumtrees, majestic red centre, beautiful beaches and star filled skies, to the sporting centre of the MCG and drama of the Sydney Opera House, our 'A Tour of Australia' class will take you and your baby on a magical journey to experience the wonder and uniqueness of Australia. And we might even meet some of our amazing native creatures along the way!
- Enchanted Country Garden - Babies will visit an English Country Garden where bees buzz, birds sing, flowers grow and lavender's blue. A magical sensory adventure filled with sights, sounds, and smells to help babies learn & develop!
- Rhythm & Rhyme - A fantastic session filled with songs, rhymes, upbeat music and activities to promote all aspects of babies’ learning and development!
- Best of Britain - As a nation under the Commonwealth, we will mark the Monarch’s birthday holiday in June with our Best of Britain experience.... babies will experience the Baby Sensory version of “Trooping the Colour” a picnic lunch on the Thames, a Best of Britain Concert and some flag waving!
- Jungle Jitters - An extraordinary sensory experience in the jungle! Babies will listen to rattlesnake sounds, learn animal signs, watch bouncing frogs and be bouncy-monkeys.
- Baby Olympics - an olympic medley of fabulous songs, movement activities, games, and challenges to help babies move on to the next big milestone - and we will be lighting the Olympic Torch at the end of the session!

How much will all of this magical fun cost?
Our terms usually run for 10 weeks and cost $245 for our 60-minute classes, and $225 for our 45-minute newborn classes.
Term 2 2024 will run for 11 weeks, includes 10 weeks of classes, and costs $245.00 ($24.50 per class) for our 60-minute classes. These classes include a dedicated play space for babies and parents to explore each week during their Exploratory Break time.
Our 45-minute newborn classes are available at a limited number of venues, and costs $225.00 ($22.50 per class).
There are a couple of public holidays during Term 2, so please refer to the timetable below for more detail on the number of classes running across the 9 week term in each location and based on the day of the week classes run, and the subsequent amended pricing.
Please note that if you join our classes mid-term, you will only be charged for the classes remaining for the term (@$24.50 per 60-min class, $22.50 per 45-min Newborn class).

Why Baby Sensory?

Specifically designed from birth to aid your child's development, our magical classes are packed with an incredible variety of sounds, smells, sights, textures, music, dance, singing, signing and more.
We want you to enjoy every second of this miraculous development, and that's why everything we do has a purpose. For example, we've arranged the sensory area to match the distance your baby can see objects clearly, we've measured the decibel level of our instruments to ensure they are an appropriate volume for sensitive baby ears, and we sooth your baby at the end of every class by mimicking the sounds of the womb.
If your baby needs to feed, sleep or snuggle quietly at any time during a class, then that's fine too!
Every single activity is carefully designed; from the music, to the length of the activity, to the specialised equipment used - all with your baby's physical, cognitive, social or emotional development in mind.
Our classes run for 60 minutes and intentionally follow your baby's natural Play-Rest-Play cycle to ensure that babies do not tip into Sensory-overload. Our classes include a 15 minute rest break, and we provide an exploratory play space - with toys, and ideas for developmentally appropriate play items that you can replicate at home.
From Term 1 2024, we are also offering an alternative class structure specifically for newborn babies from birth, and up too 4 months old. These classes run for 45 minutes, and provide babies with an intimate, calm and quiet environment designed specifically to nurture the parent-baby bond and provide parents with ideas for supporting their newborn’s development at home, including: creative play, massage, tummy time, movement, and music in simple practical ways. We also use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early speech and language skills, and sensory signing activities to help you and your baby communicate from birth.
All you need to do is come along and enjoy the beautiful sensory learning environment with your baby each week.

How do I join a class?

All of our classes regularly fill well in advance of term commencing. If your preferred class is fully booked, please join the Waitlist so that we can notify you if a space becomes available.
You are welcome to join another class while you wait, this doesn't affect your place on the waitlist - and we can move your booking over when a space in your preferred class becomes available (as it invariably does as things move around during term due to babies' routines changing!)
PLEASE NOTE : If your preferred class indicates "WAITLIST" (Instead of "BOOK NOW"), it means that the class is now FULL. We encourage families to enrol in an alternate class that will work for them as we will be unable to open any additional spaces in our fully booked classes this term.
When should I join?
Your baby will learn more during their first year than at any other time in their life - and within the first 3 months of life over 2 million new brain cell connections are created every second... so the answer to the question, "when should I join?" is : as soon as you can - your baby is never too young.
You do not have to wait for a new term to commence before starting your Baby Sensory journey - if there is space in a class that works for you, you can join at any time during the term, and our booking system will pro-rate your enrolment fees so that you are only charged for the number of classes remaining until the end of the current term.
“We have absolutely loved our 13 months at baby sensory. Never too young to start even if all they do is sleep through the entire class! They are still taking in all the surroundings, listening to the music and hearing the sounds. I believe it really helps them become familiar with the routine of the class and the songs.
